As momma’s our outfits have to be simple.
They have to be comfortable.
But shouldn’t they still look cute?
I feel like mom outfits are usually a win/lose.
You pick a mom worthy outfit, but look frumpy or too casual.
You pick a cute and trendy outfit then can’t quite “mom” in it.
So with my four years of mommy practice,
(haha, wow putting it that way sounds wimpy)
I’ve narrowed a cute, comfy, and practical mom outfit down to four staple items.
They are durable, you can move easily in them, and since they are black-stains don’t show.
While leggings are an important piece, the rest of the outfit can look sloppy if you don’t complete leggings with the other three items.
A TUNIC or SHORT DRESS
A tunic makes leggings seem juuustt a little fancier.
It covers the casual look of the legging waistband. With a statement tunic, you pull the focus from the legging to your darling top.
(I got this cute tunic from Shein…my go to place!)
Also an essential! Good shoes can make an outfit. But pairing shoes with leggings can be tricky.
I like to stick with black on black, or go with boots.
I generally feel like any other type of shoe looks a little too out of place with leggings.
(But remember fashion rules can always be broken. If you love it, go for it!)
Throwing on a good pair of earrings completes the outfit.
No necklaces, no bracelets.
Even though babies can still grab onto earrings, they are a little harder to get to.
Also, earrings don’t get caught on or tangled in things when you’re trying to move around.
Find yourself a nice light pair of earrings. The tassel earring trend is PERFECT for a momma outfit.
